Add, send, request and withdraw money

What each money action does, and what pending, failed and reversed mean.

NairaMove is in development. These guides do not announce live financial availability. Check current availability.

What is available

Add test money adds simulated funds, up to ₦50,000 at a time within your wallet limit. Send pays another wallet by NairaMove tag. Requests ask someone to pay you; they can pay or decline. Withdraw sends money to a simulated bank account where you choose how the test bank responds.

Card funding, bank transfers into the wallet and withdrawals to your own bank are shown as not available. They are not approved for this wallet yet.

Approving with your passkey

Every payment, request, withdrawal and security change is approved with your passkey for that exact action. If anything about it changes, a new approval is needed.

Find someone and add a note

In Send, type at least two characters of the person’s name or tag and select the correct wallet from the results. Check their full name and tag before continuing. You can add a short note and choose a payment-card style at review. Both people see that note and style on the receipt. A note does not change who receives the money.

When a result is not confirmed

If your connection drops, the page shows Retry this payment safely. Retrying sends the same request again, so it can never pay twice. Do not start a new payment instead.

Payment states

Completed means the ledger recorded it. Processing and Awaiting confirmation mean your money is held, not lost. Failed means the money never left, or came straight back. Reversed means the bank returned a withdrawal after it was sent; the full amount is back in your balance.

Not enough money

If your available balance is too low, NairaMove declines the payment and nothing moves. Limits on balance and daily sending are test values until verification tiers are approved.
